John Bryan State Park is the most scenic state park in western Ohio. The park contains a remarkable limestone gorge cut by the Little Miami River. A portion of the gorge itself is designated as a national natural landmark. The mountain bike trial features a 11.5 mile mountain biking trail with log jumps and creek crossings. The trails were built and are maintained by the Miami Valley Mountain Bike Association in partnership with the Park. The first trail, Power Line, opened in April 2002. The other two trails, Abracadabra & Great Scott, opened in April 2003. More trail was added in 2004, 2005, and 2006.Iin 2006 the Skills Park opened. Another 2.5 miles was added in late 2009.
Power Line is 2+ miles with twisty turns, long runs, a boardwalk, some creek crossings & a triple log pile. Start at the kiosk and follow the Arboretum trail to the first left on Power Line.
Abracadabra is 2+ miles of flat & fun riding. It has one medium-sized ramp (with a bypass around it), a boardwalk & small creek crossings. Follow Arboretum and take the first right to Abracadabra. Abracadabra starts directly across from the Power Line exit.
Great Scott is the longest trail at 7 miles and has some small climbs, some tight sections, some long runs, creek crossings several boardwalks & the biggest ramp (with a bypass). Great Scott is the second right off of Arboretum. Great Scott starts directly across from Abracadabra and finishes behind the big gravel parking lot near the kiosk. All trails are contiguous. Creek crossings may be wet or dry depending on the weather.
Trails are marked with signs. The recommended route is clockwise starting on Power Line, continuing on Abracadabra & finishing on Great Scott. Watch for arrows at intersections showing the route. The map shows all trails.
